VW teases Scout brand right before the premiere

Volkswagen Group is getting ready to bring back the U.S. automobile brand Scout. The first cars to debut will include an SUV and a pickup truck – here’s another teaser vid posted hours before the reveal.

The new cars will be fully electric and will utilize their own, proprietary platform said to deliver exceptional off-road performance. They won’t reach the market until 2026, though.

The original Scout brand belonged to International Harvester and produced cars in the USA from 1961 until 1980. Volkswagen purchased the rights to it around two years ago, intending to bring it back.
